Banana nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- to 5 bananas, mashed - 3 item
How to make banana nut bread:
In a large mixing bowl, cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Add bananas.In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to banana mixture. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes or until done. Cool in pan 10 minutes and then turn onto rack and cool.
