Baked red snapper
Ingredients/Components
- chopped onion - 1/4 1/2
- chopped celery - 1/4 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- chopped green onion - 1/4 c
- stick oleo - 1 item
- chopped bell pepper - 1/4 1/2
- cans stewed tomatoes - 2 item
- wine red or white - 1/2 c
- red snapper or fillets - 1 (5
- or 3 lemons, sliced - 2 item
How to make baked red snapper:
Melt oleo and saute bell pepper, onions, celery and green onions until tender. Add tomatoes, wine and seasoning. Cook slowly on medium heat for 20 minutes. Place fish in baking dish. Pour sauce over fish. Add sliced lemons over fish and bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes. Baste fish with sauce.
