Applesauce bars

Ingredients/Components

• vanilla - 1 tsp
• milk - 1 Tbsp
• flour - 1 c
• brown sugar - 2/3 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• confectioners sugar
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1/4 c
• pumpkin pie spice - 1/2 tsp
• raisins - 1/2 c
• applesauce - 1 c
• Bake about 25 minutes

How to make applesauce bars:

Mix all ingredients; spread in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake about 25 minutes. Cool; frost with Browned Butter Frosting. Cool and cut into bars.Browned Butter Frosting:3 Tbsp. butter1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 Tbsp. milk Heat butter in saucepan over medium heat until a delicate brown. Remove from heat. Blend in sugar, vanilla and milk. Beat until frosting is smooth.
