Trade winds salad
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- 8 oz - 2 c
- mayonnaise - 1/4 c
- cubed Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- pineapple chunks
- cooked, cubed chicken, turkey or ham - 1 c
- grapes or chopped apple - 1/2 c
How to make trade winds salad:
Melt butter and brown sugar in medium saucepan. Add chicken, turkey or ham and cook until browned. Cool. Combine cooked shells, meat mixture, grapes or apples and cheese in a large bowl. Drain pineapple, reserving 2 tablespoons of juice. Add mayonnaise, sour cream, pineapple and juice and salt. Blend well. Chill. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Salads, Chicken, Poultry.
