Sunshine slush
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- water - 3 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- unsweetened pineapple juice - 3 c
- can frozen orange juice - 1 oz
- can frozen lemonade - 1 oz
- medium ripe bananas, cut up - 2 item
- bottle chilled carbonated water - 1 oz
How to make sunshine slush:
Bring sugar and water to a boil in a large saucepan, stirring constantly until sugar melts. Boil 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in orange juice and lemonade.In blender, combine bananas and half of pineapple juice. Blend until smooth, then add to sugar mixture. Stir in remaining pineapple juice and lemon juice. Pour into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan or plastic freezer container. Seal and freeze at least 6 hours or up to 2 months.
Before serving, let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. Spoon slush into glass and add equal amount of carbonated water. I shave all of the fruited ice and place in punch with carbonated water for serving.
