Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- soda - 1 tsp
- cream of tartar - 2 tsp
- soft shortening part butter - 1 c
- sugar, mixed with 2 Tbsp - 2 Tbsp
How to make snickerdoodles:
Mix the first 3 ingredients thoroughly. Sift together the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Mix together until dough forms. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in sugar-cinnamon mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake until lightly browned, but still soft at 400° (8 to 10 minutes).Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Hand Formed cookies.
