  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour
  • baking soda - 3/4 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c

How to make peanut butter cookies:

Stir together flour, soda and salt. In a mixing bowl, beat margarine. Add peanut butter and sugars. Beat until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Then add dry ingredients. Shape dough into balls and place on cookie sheet. Crisscross with tines of fork. Sprinkle with sugar, if desired. Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes.
