Hot fruit salad
Ingredients/Components
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- pecan halves - 1/2 c
- can pineapple chunks in heavy syrup - 1 1/2
- can pear halves in heavy syrup - 1 oz
- can apricot halves in heavy syrup - 1 oz
- red and green maraschino cherries, cut in half - 1 c
- juice syrup from fruit - 2 c
How to make hot fruit salad:
Drain all fruit well and save juice. Place fruit in layers in a 2-quart ovenproof dish with nuts and cherries on top. Bring syrup ingredients to a boil. Pour over fruit and bake 45 minutes at 350°. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low sodium, Salads.
