Chocolate shake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- milk - 1/4 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- unsweetened cocoa mix - 1/4 c
- vanilla ice cream about 3 c
How to make chocolate shake:
In a heavy medium-sized saucepan, stir sugar and water over low heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat and bring to a boil. Whisk sugar syrup into a small bowl with the cocoa. Return to saucepan and boil 1 minute, whisking constantly. Pour into bowl. Mix in vanilla and cool completely. Cover and chill until cold, at least 1 hour. Pour chocolate syrup and milk into blender and mix. Gradually add ice cream, blending each time until smooth. Makes 2 glasses.Recipe categories: Puddings and mousses, Drinks, Shakes.
