Cheese ring with strawberry jam
Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- mayonnaise - 1 c
- small onion - 1 item
- medium Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 lb
- extra sharp Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 lb
- jar strawberry jam - 1 lb
How to make cheese ring with strawberry jam:
Combine the first 5 ingredients; mix well. Sprinkle pecans in an oiled ring mold. Press cheese mixture on top of nuts. Chill until firm. Serve with strawberry preserves in center of cheese ring. Tastes best on wheat crackers. Yields one 10-inch ring.Serving Suggestions: Spread on your favorite crackers. I prefer a butter cracker or wheat cracker.
