  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour
  • buttermilk - 1/3 c
  • baking powder
  • baking soda
  • shortening - 2/3 c
  • butter flavoring - 1/4 tsp
  • large eggs, beaten well - 2 item
  • large bananas ripe - 3 item

How to make banana nut cake:

In large bowl, sift together first 5 ingredients. Add next 2 ingredients. Mix well. Add bananas; beat 2 minutes. Add next 4 ingredients. Add nuts. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
