sugar - 1 c
salt
water - 1/2 c
eggs, beaten - 2 item
vinegar - 1/2 c
dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
pepper - 1/4 tsp
onion, minced - 1 item
slices bacon, diced - 4 item
hard-cooked eggs, sliced - 2 item
medium potatoes, cook, peel and dice - 8 item
stalk celery, dice - 1 item

How to make hot german potato salad:

Lightly toss first 4 ingredients together in bowl. Fry bacon until brown. Stir sugar, salt, pepper and dry mustard into vinegar and water. Add to beaten eggs and mix well. Pour egg mixture into hot bacon and fat and stir until mixture thickens, about 10 minutes. Pour over potato mixture and toss lightly. Serve hot or cold.
