Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- soda
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3/4 c
- molasses - 1/4 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- cloves - 1 tsp
How to make gingersnaps:
Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and molasses. Sift dry ingredients and add. Roll into balls; dip tips in sugar and place on a cookie sheet. Do not flatten. Bake at 325° for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
