Chicken fruit salad
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- 1 c - 3 oz
- whipping cream, whipped - 1/2 c
- diced, cooked chicken
- sliced celery - 3/4 c
- finely diced onion - 1 Tbsp
- seedless green grapes - 3/4 c
- salad dressing or mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- can mandarin orange segments, drained - 1 item
- slivered almonds, toasted* - 1/2 c
How to make chicken fruit salad:
*To toast almonds, spread almonds evenly on cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 5 to 10 minutes until golden brown or spread in thin layer on microwave-safe pie pan. Microwave on High for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until golden brown, stirring after 1 minute.Cook macaroni to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain. Rinse with cold water. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except whipping cream. Cover and refrigerate 3 hours to blend flavors. Just before serving, fold in the whipped cream. Makes 6 (1 cup) servings.
