Wild rice soup



Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- grated carrots - 1/2 c
- chicken broth - 4 c
- minced onion - 1 Tbsp
- minced parsley - 1 item
- slivered almonds - 3 Tbsp
- cooked chicken, cubed - 1 c
- shredded cheese - 1 c
- half & half
- cooked wild rice - 2 c
- wine - 2 Tbsp
- stalks celery, chopped fine - 2 item
How to make wild rice soup:
Melt butter in saucepan. Saut?© onion and celery until tender. Blend in flour; gradually add broth. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and then stir in rice, carrots, almonds, chicken and salt. Simmer 5 minutes. Blend in half & half and wine.
