Wild rice and sausage
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 16 oz
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chicken broth - 3 c
- can sliced mushrooms, drained - 18 oz
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- medium green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- chicken soup - 1 c
- can water chestnuts, drained - 1 8
- sausage - 1 lb
- can mushroom soup - 1 item
How to make wild rice and sausage:
Combine sausage, celery, onion, pepper and garlic. Cook over medium heat until sausage is browned and vegetables are tender. Stir to crumble meat. Drain. Stir in rest of items, except almonds. Mix well. Put in greased 3 quart casserole and sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 12.Recipe categories: Side dish, Pasta, rice and grains, Rice.
