Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 3/4 c
- Pet milk - 1/2 c
- chopped pecans, divided - 2 c
- bag caramels - 1 (14
- box German chocolate cake mix or dark chocolate, if preferred - 1 item
- milk chocolate chips 8 oz - 1 c
How to make turtle cake:
Blend cake mix according to box directions. Pour half of batter into greased pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Melt caramels in butter and milk. Pour over the partially cooked cake. Sprinkle with half of the chocolate chips and half of the pecans. Pour the remaining batter over the chips and pecans. Add chips and pecans for top layer. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
