Texas style lasagna
Ingredients/Components
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- can tomato sauce - 1 15
- ground beef
- seasoned salt - 1 tsp
- can chopped green chilies - 1 4
- can diced tomatoes, undrained - 1 14
- Taco seasoning mix - 1 1-1/4
- cups small curd cottage cheese - 2 item
- - 6 inch corn tortillas, torn - 12 item
- cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese - 4 item
How to make texas style lasagna:
In a large skillet, brown meat, drain. Add seasoned salt, taco mix, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and chilies. Mix well. Simmer uncovered 15 to 20 minutes. Combine cottage cheese and eggs. In a greased 13 x 2 inch baking dish, layer half the meat sauce, half the tortillas, half the cottage cheese mixture and half the Monterey Jack Cheese. Repeat layers. Bake uncovered at 350° for 30 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Main dish, Oven.
