Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- can whole tomatoes - 1 item
- medium, chopped onion - 1 item
- boneless bottom or top round steak 1/2 inch thick - 1 lb
How to make swiss steak:
Mix flour, salt and pepper. Sprinkle one side of beef with half of mixture; pound in. Turn beef and repeat with remaining half of mixture. Cut beef into 4 or 5 serving pieces.
