Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • eggs, separated - 3 item
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • lemon juice - 1 item
  • hot milk - 1 c
  • allspice - 1/4 tsp
  • mashed sweet potatoes - 2 c

How to make sweet potato pie:

Blend butter and sugar. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice and egg yolks. Add salt, spices, sweet potatoes and hot milk. Put into pie crust. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Turn temperature to 375° for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
