Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • melted butter - 1/2 c
  • beaten eggs - 2 item
  • cans sweet potatoes - 2 item
  • chopped and pitted dates - 8 oz

How to make sweet potato casserole:

Drain and mash sweet potatoes. Mix with butter, vanilla, sugar, eggs and dates. Pour in a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix brown sugar, flour, nuts and butter. Sprinkle over potato mixture. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
