Sweet potato and apple casserole


Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- miniature marshmallows - 3 c
- pecans, chopped - 1/2 c
- medium sweet potatoes, cut 1/4-inch thick - 4 item
- Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced - 2 c
How to make sweet potato and apple casserole:
Peel and slice sweet potatoes. Cook until about half done. In a large buttered baking dish, layer sweet potatoes, apples and marshmallows. Sprinkle with mixture of sugar, cinnamon, salt and pecans. Blend cornstarch and water in a small bowl and pour over layers. Dot with butter and bake, covered, at 350° for 1 hour.Recipe categories: Apple, Side dish, Casseroles.
