Sweet pickle relish
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- water - 6 c
- chopped celery
- celery seed - 2 Tbsp
- white vinegar - 3 c
- mustard seed - 2 tsp
- pickling salt - 3/4 c
- finely chopped green peppers - 2 item
- ground onion - 3 c
- ground cucumbers do not peel - 5 c
- finely chopped red peppers - 2 item
How to make sweet pickle relish:
Soak the cucumbers in the water and pickling salt overnight. Drain well; combine with the onion, red and green peppers and celery. Heat the remaining ingredients; boil hard for 3 minutes. Add the rest; simmer for 10 minutes. Put in hot jars to seal. Let set for at least 1 week.Recipe categories: American, Vegetables, North american.
