Sweet and sour pork
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
- Minute rice
- chicken bouillon cubes - 4 item
- small green pepper, diced - 1 item
- diced onions - 1/2 c
- can chunk pineapple - 1 1/2
- lean pork, diced
How to make sweet and sour pork:
Brown pork; drain fat. Bring 4 cups water to a boil and add bouillon cubes. Let dissolve. Pour 2 cups broth over meat, reserving 2 cups. Cook until meat is tender and liquid is absorbed. For the sauce, add cornstarch, vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce and pineapple juice to the reserved broth. Cook until thick and bubbly. Prepare Minute rice. Add green peppers, onions and pineapple chunks to meat. Stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes until tender. Add sauce and serve over rice.
