Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • vinegar - 2 Tbsp
  • white sugar - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • prepared mustard - 2 tsp
  • ground beef
  • minced onion - 1 tsp
  • dry bread crumbs - 1 c
  • Topping:1/2 can tomato sauce
  • can tomato sauce, divided use 8 oz - 1 oz

How to make sweet and sour meat loaf:

Topping:1/2 can tomato sauce2 Tbsp. brown sugar2 Tbsp. vinegar1/2 c. white sugar2 tsp. prepared mustard Make loaf using first 6 ingredients. Place in 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake 50 minutes in preheated 350° oven. Cover with topping using other 1/2 of tomato sauce which has been brought to a boil. Return to oven and bake 10 minutes longer.
