Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 4 item
  • salt
  • dry mustard - 1 Tbsp
  • cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
  • ground beef - 4 lb
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • black pepper - 1 tsp
  • thyme - 1/2 tsp
  • cup chopped onion - 3/4 item
  • cup ketchup - 1 item
  • cup olive oil - 1/4 item
  • cup red wine vinegar - 1 item
  • cup honey - 1 item
  • cup Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 item
  • small cans Italian bread crumbs - 1-1/2 item

How to make swedish meatballs:

Mix ground meat, eggs and bread crumbs and shape into small balls. (Mixture will be firm.) Bake at 425 degrees about 10-15 minutes.

Heat oil; add onions and garlic. Saut?©. Add remaining ingredients in the order listed and cook about 20-30 minutes. Add meatballs to gravy and let stand several hours or overnight so that the gravy can be absorbed. Heat before serving. This will make about 300 meatballs.
