- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- self-rising flour - 3 c
- raisins - 1 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- chopped apples - 3 c
- Crisco or margarine - 1/2 c
- Add eggs and beat
- oleo 1/2 stick - 1/4 c
How to make swedish apple cake:
Cream Crisco and sugar; mix well. Add eggs and beat. Sift in allspice and flour. Mix. Stir in apples and raisins. Put in 10 x 13-inch greased pan.Topping (To be put on cake before baking):1/3 c. flour (regular not self-rising)1/2 c. brown sugar1/4 c. oleo (1/2 stick)1 c. chopped nuts Add to top of the cake and bake at 350° for 1 hour.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Apple.
