Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- hamburger - 1 lb
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- cooked rice
- small can tomato sauce - 1 item
- large green peppers - 4 item
- fresh chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- chopped garlic - 2 tsp
How to make stuffed peppers:
Wash and core peppers; set aside. Fry hamburger (break up while cooking) with onion, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Drain. Mix well with cooked rice. Adjust salt and pepper to taste. Combine with 1/2 can tomato sauce. Mix well. Fill peppers to mound on top. By tablespoon add remaining tomato sauce to cover top of mixture. Place peppers close together in a baking dish with water just to cover bottom of dish. Bake, covered, 1 hour in a 350° oven until peppers are done.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Beef.
