- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- whipped cream - 1 c
- orange juice - 1/2 c
- loaf French bread - 1 (16
- jar apricot preserves - 1 oz
How to make stuffed french toast:
Beat together cream cheese and 1 teaspoon vanilla until soft and fluffy. Stir in nuts; set aside. Cut bread into 10 to 12 (1 1/2-inch) slices. Cut pocket in top of each. Fill with 1 1/2 tablespoons cheese mixture. Beat together eggs, whipped cream, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and nutmeg. Dip bread slices into egg mixture. Cook until golden.
