Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine, melted - 2 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- dried oregano - 1 tsp
- dried basil - 1 tsp
- green pepper - 1/4 c
- sliced pepperoni - 1/4 lb
- sliced Mozzarella cheese - 1/4 lb
- sliced Swiss cheese - 1/4 lb
- sliced ham - 1/4 lb
- sliced hard salami - 1/4 lb
- sliced bologna - 1/4 lb
- each frozen bread dough, thawed - 2 loaves
- pizza sauce, divided - 1 jar
How to make stromboli:
Let dough rise in warm place until doubled. Punch down. Roll both loaves together in one 15 x 12-inch rectangle. Layer ham and pepperoni on half of the dough. Sprinkle with onion and green pepper. Top with 1/4 cup of pizza sauce. Layer Mozzarella, bologna, salami and Swiss cheese over sauce. Sprinkle with basil, oregano, garlic powder and pepper. Spread another 1/4 cup of pizza sauce on top. Fold plain half of dough over filling and seal edges well. Place on greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. Bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes or until brown. Brush with melted butter. Heat remaining pizza sauce and serve with sliced stromboli.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Pork.
