Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • water - 5 c
  • all-purpose flour - 1/2 c
  • butter, melted - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • stalks celery, chopped - 4 item
  • carrots, sliced - 3 item
  • ground chuck, browned and drained - 2 lb
  • cans diced tomatoes - 2 1/2
  • beef bouillon granules - 5 Tbsp

How to make steak soup:

Place all ingredients, except butter, flour, and salt, into crock-pot Cover, cook on Low 8 to 12 hours (or High, 4 to 6 hours). One hour before serving, turn on to High. Make a paste of melted butter and flour. Stir well until smooth. Pour into crock-pot; stir until well blended. Season soup with salt if desired. Cover, cook on High until thickened. Makes 12 servings.
