Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- sour cream - 1 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 2 item
- can water chestnuts, sliced - 1 1/2
- small jar pimento, chopped - 1 item
- yellow squash, cooked, drained and diced - 3 c
How to make squash casserole:
Melt butter and stir in stuffing. Line casserole with half of stuffing mix. Combine all other ingredients. Spoon into casserole. Top with remaining stuffing. Bake 30 minutes at 350°.Variations for topping instead of stuffing mix: Put Ritz cracker crumbs and grated cheese.
