Ingredients/Components
- cold water - 8 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- stalks celery, chopped - 2 item
- dried marjoram - 1/4 tsp
- cubes beef bouillon - 2 item
- medium carrots, chopped - 2 item
- dry green split peas - 1 lb
How to make split pea soup:
Rinse dry green split peas. In a pot combine peas, cold water, beef bouillon, onion, bay leaf, pepper and marjoram. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Stir occasionally.
