  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • vegetable oil - 1/3 c
  • wine vinegar - 1/4 c
  • clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
  • slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled - 2 item
  • hard-cooked egg, chopped - 1 item
  • generous dash of freshly ground pepper - 1 item
  • spinach, torn into bite-sized pieces about 8 c - 1 lb
  • mushrooms, sliced about 3 c - 8 oz

How to make spinach-mushroom salad:

Shake oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and garlic in tightly covered container. Toss with spinach and mushrooms; sprinkle with bacon and egg. Serves 8.
