Spinach dip
Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 1 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- red wine vinegar
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- can chopped green chilies - 1 oz
- cayenne pepper to taste - 1 item
- Monterey Jack, grated
- medium tomatoes, peeled and seeded - 2 item
- to 3 jalapenos - 2 item
How to make spinach dip:
Deseed and chop jalapenos; deseed tomatoes. Saute jalapenos and onion in oil in large skillet until onion is soft. Add green chilies and tomatoes; cook 2 minutes. Add cream cheese until melted; remove from heat. Press spinach between layer of paper towels until dry. Add spinach, Monterey Jack, half and half, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper. Stir well; put in baking dish and sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm with Tostitos.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Appetizers, Dips.
