Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- water - 1 tsp
- ground cloves - 1 tsp
- ground ginger - 2 tsp
- egg white - 1 item
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- Add water
- cans salted mixed nuts - 2 oz
- Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice see below - 1 Tbsp
How to make spiced nuts:
In a mixing bowl, beat egg white until frothy. Add water. Beat until soft peaks form. Stir in nuts; toss to coat. Combine sugar and spice. Stir into nut mixture. Spread nuts evenly onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 325° for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally; cool on waxed paper. Makes 6 cups.Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice:4 tsp. ground cinnamon1 tsp. ground cloves2 tsp. ground ginger1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg Combine all ingredients. Store in airtight container.
