Spice cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 2 c
• nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
• soda - 1 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1/2 c
• molasses - 1 Tbsp
• cloves - 1/2 tsp
• sour milk - 1 c

How to make spice cake:

Cream together sugar and shortening. Then add and mix together egg, molasses and milk. Sift together all dry ingredients and add to first mixture. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until done. Serve warm, topped with Cool Whip or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
