Ingredients/Components
- salt
- water - 1 c
- oil - 3 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- can stewed tomatoes - 14 oz
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- uncooked rice - 1 c
How to make spanish rice:
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in large skillet; add rice. Brown lightly, stirring frequently. Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil, onion, green pepper and celery; cook until soft. Add remaining ingredients. Cover pan tightly. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
