Spanish rice



Ingredients/Components
- garlic salt - 1 tsp
- salsa - 1/4 c
- cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
- ground cumin - 1 tsp
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- bacon - 3/4 lb
- can diced tomatoes - 1 oz
- yellow sweet onion - 1 item
- can navy or Great Northern beans, drained and rinsed - 1 oz
- Minute rice add as needed - 4 5
How to make spanish rice:
Cut bacon into small pieces. Dice onion and brown together and drain. Add all ingredients EXCEPT rice. Simmer on medium-low for 30 minutes. Turn down to low. Add rice. Stir and shut off burner. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes for rice to soak up juices.Can serve as is or you may want to also get some green peppers, clean them out and stuff Spanish Rice into those. Bake until pepper is cooked.
