- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- evaporated milk - 3/4 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- all-purpose flour - 3 Tbsp
- light corn syrup - 1/4 c
- ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- mashed sweet potatoes - 1 c
- unbaked pastry shell 9-inch - 1 item
How to make southern sweet potato pie:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and sugar. Add potatoes, eggs, corn syrup, nutmeg, salt, butter and evaporated milk; beat well. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes. Yields 8 servings.Recipe categories: Desserts, Potato, Vegetables.
