  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • oil - 1/4 c
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • 10x sugar topping

How to make southern hush puppies:

Combine all ingredients. Stir with a fork until well mixed. Fry with 1 teaspoon of the mixture in hot oil until golden brown for about 3 minutes. Drain on a paper towel. Sprinkle with 10x sugar.
