Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • taco seasoning mix - 1 pkg
  • avocados - 3 med
  • cup mayonnaise - 1/2 item
  • sharp cheddar cheese, grated - 8 oz
  • cup sour cream - 1 item
  • tomatoes, chopped fine - 3 med
  • cans black olives - 2 oz
  • jalapeno bean dip - 2 (10-1/2
  • bunch shallots, chopped - 1 item

How to make south of the border dip:

Blend avocados, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Combine sour cream, mayonnaise and taco mix. Blend bean dip until smooth. Spread in a 9x13 dish in the following order: bean dip, avocado mixture, sour cream mixture, shallots, tomatoes, olives and cheese. Serve with tortilla chips.
