Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • oil - 3/4 c
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • baking powder - 4 tsp
  • warm water - 1 c
  • yeast - 1 pkg
  • or more flour - 6 c

How to make sourdough biscuits:

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar. Combine all other ingredients. Stir with spoon until all mixed together. Use a bowl with lid. Keep in refrigerator. Will keep about 10 days.

One cup of dough will make about 6 biscuits. Knead on floured board. Do not have to let rise before baking. Bake at 425° for 10 to 12 minutes.
