Sour cream chili bake
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 c
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chili powder - 1/4 1/2
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- cumin - 1/4 1/2
- crushed tortilla chips - 2 c
- cans kidney or pinto beans, drained - 3 oz
- small can green chilies, chopped and peeled - 1 item
How to make sour cream chili bake:
Saute onion and garlic; add chili powder and cumin plus beans, chilies and tomato sauce. Simmer. Remove from heat and mix in 1 cup of tortilla chips and 1 cup grated cheese. Pour into a lightly buttered 9 x 9-inch baking dish. Cover and bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and spread remaining tortilla chips around outer edge of baking dish. Place sour cream in the center and sprinkle with remaining grated cheese. Bake 2 to 3 minutes to melt cheese.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Main dish, Casseroles.
