Soft pretzels
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 tsp
- salt - 3/8 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- warm water - 3/4 c
- dry yeast - 1/2 tsp
How to make soft pretzels:
Combine the yeast, water, salt and sugar. Stir in the flour a little at a time until the dough is stiff enough to knead. Knead dough until it becomes soft, about 5 minutes. Cover cookie sheet with foil and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon flour. Shape pretzels and place on prepared cookie sheet. Brush with mixture of 1/2 cup water and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake at 400° until lightly brown (about 15 to 20 minutes).Recipe categories: Appetizers, Low fat.
