Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- molasses - 3/8 c
- ginger - 2 3
- sour milk - 3/8 c
How to make soft ginger cookies:
Cream shortening and sugar. Blend in egg. Add molasses and beat well. Add dry ingredients with milk. Beat until smooth. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with white sugar. Bake at 375° about 10 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Hand Formed cookies.
