Snappy turtles
Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1/4 tsp
- light corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
- vanilla caramels - 12 item
- can Pillsbury ready-to-spread chocolate fudge or double Dutch frosting supreme - 1 item
- pecan halves about 5 to 6 oz
How to make snappy turtles:
In small bowl, combine 1 cup frosting, crumbs, corn syrup and vanilla at low speed; beat 2 minutes at highest speed. Set aside.On waxed paper, arrange 36 clusters of 3 pecan halves in spoke fashion. Spoon rounded teaspoon frosting mixture on each cluster. Cut caramels into thirds. Press one caramel piece firmly on top of each cluster, forcing frosting mixture between nuts.
In small saucepan, heat remaining frosting just until melted. Spoon small amount of frosting on each cluster. Chill to set. Makes 36 pieces.
