Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- water - 3 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/4 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- olive oil - 4 Tbsp
- hot cooked rice - 1 item
- can whole tomatoes - 1 oz
- clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
- chopped green peppers - 1/4 c
- boiled and cleaned shrimp - 3 lb
How to make shrimp creole:
Pour olive oil in heavy saucepan. Stir in celery, onion and green pepper. Cook until tender. Add garlic and pepper to taste. In a bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, water and whole tomatoes. Cut shrimp into 1/2-inch pieces and blend into tomato mixture. Add to the onion, green pepper and celery mixture. Cook slowly for 3 to 4 hours or place in slow cooker.
