Sausage cornbread bake
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- cup chopped onion - 1 item
- cup milk - 3/4 item
- bulk sausage - 1 lb
- cup shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 item
- small can cream style corn - 1 item
- 1/2 cup Martha White self rising corn meal mix - 1 item
- cup vegetable oil or melted shortening - 1/4 item
How to make sausage cornbread bake:
Grease a 10 inch skillet or a 2 qt. baking dish. Cook sausage and onion until brown and onion is tender. Beat eggs in large mixing bowl. Add cornmeal, corn, milk and oil. Mix well. Pour half of cornmeal mixture into prepared pan, sprinkle evenly with sausage mixture and cheese. Pour remaining cornmeal mixture over sausage and cheese.Bake at 425° for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
