Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- caraway seed - 1/2 tsp
- strips bacon - 8 item
- large onion - 1 item
- sauerkraut - 2 lb
How to make sauerkraut:
Wash kraut in cold water. Cook over low heat with 1/2 cup water. Cut bacon in small pieces and brown with onion. Drain fat off bacon. Add kraut; add caraway seed and sugar. Cook 1 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: Vegetables, German, European.
